iTunes Library Doubled On New Installation

#1
When I installed iTunes 9.0.2 on my new computer with windows 7 (64 bit) my iTunes library doubled each song. If I try to delete one of the songs, I get a message that the remaining song file cannot play the song. This is a problem because my iPod capacity has been taken up by all the extra songs. I think I have all the system numbers right, does anyone have an idea of the problem? Thanks!

Have you checked the library to see where the songs are located? It seems I had a problem something like that is Vista where I had to go through and delete the listings that would not play. Almost like the listings were a ghost copy. Sorry I do not remember exactly.
