Java...What version?

    I didn't realize it but there are several versions of java out there, Sun or Oracle, which is the real one and which is best for Win 7?

    I believe, from about two years ago, Oracle and sun merged. basically it is the same download/update.
    fwiw. My update service takes me to Oracle.

    Also, if your running 64 bit you should download 2 versions of Java, 32 & 64 bit. And davehc is correct, it is now Oracle although the dialogue box when downloading may say Sun.
