I have a problem with Windows 7. The keyboard stopped working form when I install VMware and uninstall it. In the BIOS it works fine. When I use a Linux partition (starting from DVD, "Knoppix") it works also fine. Also at bootloader leval its ok.
But at Windows 7 it stopps working. Does not matter which keyboard I use -USB or PS/2.

The USB Link Removed works propperly.

Any help is highly recomened.

Hi

For a start uninstall your keyboard in Windows Device Manage then reboot and let it reinstall it.
If it asks about drivers, tell it to search online.

I assume that you already tried other USB ports.

Try running sfc /scannow from the prompt (run as administrator).

I sometimes have my keyboard stop working in Windows 7, I can usually get it working by either unplugging it and plugging it back in or rebooting. But I've never had it just quit working and not start again.
