Windows Vista Laptop wireless issues

I just recently bought a Compaq Presario CQ50 laptop and I'm finding some issues with my wireless. I use my University wireless network very often. After connecting to the network, I have to log in with my account (after opening browser) to use the internet. However, after Hibernating my laptop and opening it again 10 minutes later, I have trouble using the internet. Sometimes, when I open the browser I can't seem to access the login page and even if I do and logs in successfully, I can browse the internet but I can't seem to use MSN or download with Bitcomet.

Is there a way to fix this? Thanks

Have you tried rebooting? Not really a fix but at least it'll stop the hassle.
