Windows 7 Libraries and External Drives

Hi, I have a WD 1TB external drive, and I keep all of my media on that drive (movies, pics, music). I have set all of my libraries to point to the folders on the drive where I keep all my media, however, Windows Media Player will not load anything, and when click on organize, manage libraries, nothing happens, it's like the program doesn't know that all my files are on my external drive. I had the same setup with Vista, and it worked fine. I also have the same problem with Windows Media Center, it won't load my files as well, could someone please help?
