Line in audio not working

Hello all, I am not quite sure if this is the correct place for this but it seems to be the best place...

I was recently having trouble getting my computer to even recognize my line in audio port. I reinstalled the drivers and got it working.
So it at least recognizes that the my line in is being used, but now i cant get the audio to work. I have tried different cables, disabling the computers microphone and making the line in the default but I cant come up with any other solutions. Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you are trying to get the record what is hear to work, open the Playback devices from the speaker icon and right click and check "show disabled devices".

If that doesn't work, you may have to load additional drivers for the legacy devices.
