Windows 7 Locating printer on startup

Hi my win7 machine will on startup try to find a driver for 1 of my printers.
Even tho i properly installed a driver and the printer works i still have to deal with this,
If i try to define a file in my printer software directory it will fail and close.

Anyone know how i can disable this feature?

You have installed the driver, your printer works fine, but every time your system starts you see the tray message that new hardware has been found and needs to be installed, correct?

Do you see any unknown devices marked yellow in Control Panel -> Device manager ?

(The printer may have not installed properly/completely).

Also, right-click it in the device manager and check the printer's properties, does it show any errors there ?
