Windows 7 Locking a drive letter

Hi:
I run the backup program, SyncBackSE which among other things backs up files on a thumbdrive. SyncBackSE has been configured to see the thumbdrive as F: but occasionally Windows decides to name it G: and SyncBackSE then fails. Is there a way to tell Windows to lock it to F:? Thanks.

Hi,
have you tried using 'Disk management' found via the Admin tools in the control panel (see screenie)

Link Removed due to 404 Error

I'm pretty sure you should be able to rename it to what you desire there.

Thanks. Yes, I can rename it back to what I want, but that is a short term solution. I just discovered a feature of SyncBackSE that allows me to use drive label instead of drive letter. That gives me a long term solution ie, SyncBackSE doesn't care what the drive letter is.
