Windows 7 Login Error

I believe I have Error Message 1773 which comes up on the login screen that prevents from logging on. It looks like this:

The User Profile Service service failed the logon.

User profile cannot be loaded.

Please help me! Thank you!

Yes, and then the error message comes up, and goes back to the login screen.

See if the following can get you into an admin account ......
Go to Safe Mode .............
Restart your computer > immediately and repeatedly tapping the F8 key until you see a black and white window. Use the Up/Down arrow key and select Safe Mode with Networking.
Now, while in safe mode, can you do one of the followings ?

1. Can you logon to your own admin account without the error message ?
If yes, do so. Then do a system restore. Pick a date when you were free to logon to your admin account as your restore point.

2. If you cannot logon to your admin account in safe mode, do you see another Administrator Account next to yours ?
( By defaut, the Built-in admin is disabled.)
If you do see it on your logon screen, you are lucky. That one is the Built-in Admin Account.
By default, it has not password.
Logon to it and do system restore .

3.If system restore does not help, then do the same tutorial as above :http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215

If you cannot do either of the above, I am afraid you will have to re-install your win 7.

Okay, I have had this one before. Try starting up in safe mode, then log in with your user account. Also if you have the Administrator account active, try to log in with that as well.

@davidhk129 For the love of God and all that is holy, stop trying to fix everything with System Restore. This is like the fourth time I have seen you say that. It is not always necessary to use System Restore on every problem, sweet baby black Jesus.

Okay, I restarted my lab top in Safe Mode With Networking and I was able to open the Registry Editor and somewhere some of the numbers and zeros were moved around and misplaced but we somehow fixed it.

The cause of the problem may have been from all the spam ware and ad ware I've been getting: like this annoying thing called RegClean Pro which I'm guessing has been clearing the registers were all of the information is held. Is there any way to fully get rid of this?

Nothing wrong with system restore, that's one way to find out if there's a bigger problem. Before dealing with a problem seriously, start with a basic.

The "old school " camp will tell you Never use registry cleaner or booster or registry "whatever". It messes up your registry more than fixing things.
Mind you, the opposite camp will swear by Registry Cleaner.

I would strongly suggest that you uninstall that RegClean Pro, unless you are an expert dealing with registry.

I completely agree with you. but it shouldn't be the first stop for everything that ever happens on your computer. User wont log in...system restore...Explorer crashed...system restore...Internet Explorer 10 wont respond in a timely manner...system restore...it is insane. Do a little bit of work before you just run off to the system restore is all I am saying.

I don't agree with registry cleaners because it is trying to be a one stop fix it all. I don't like something trying to go in and say that the edit I made is a bad idea, or what I did wasn't good for the system. Just my opinion.

1773 is an error line, it's not very specific, there should be more information. It usually occurs with installation, and is caused by memory flaw, also in later cases of computer work. RegClean Pro is disputed, some think it's a bug, others think it's a good program. You can get rid of it through Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features, or using Revo, http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

Use of registry cleaners is a matter of debate, I've personally used Free Window Registry Repair, http://www.regsofts.com/free_registry_repair/registry_repair.htm for years, no problems. But many think you shouldn't use these registry cleaners at all. Go figure?

What you should do, is to thoroughly scan your computer with the Antivirus you have, and preferably also with Malwarebytes, http://www.malwarebytes.org/.

Glad to know you have the "login issue " sorted.
For my benefit and, perhaps others who get the same login error message, would you please elaborate whether you used a tutorial to solve the problem, if so, which one, or did you solve the problem by your own knowledge?
