All of a sudden my logon screen appears telling me it's locked after hibernate/sleep mode is unactivated by mouse/keyboard movement to awake computer. I have to click the icon to get into my desktop. This just started about 12 hours ago and I can't get it fixed.

Power Options "Require a password on wakeup"?

control userpasswords2 (netplwiz) needs reset?

I suggest these only because although I don't set a password, but until I change (second one especially) the password required at logon setting I have to click on my user name/picture at boot up as opposed to booting straight to desktop.

Thanks elmer; I've tried both control userpasswords2 and netplwiz and still have the same result. Now the power options one I've haven't seen and will try it and will let you know how it goes. Now the question at hand is "what caused the change"?

Yep, that cured it. Thanks elmer. I even wrote the tip down, as to not forget it.

Solution
No Prob. It's funny some of the things you remember even though you never use the function(s).

Now, if only I could remember the Missus' Birthday!!
