This happens every time I format and reinstall Windows. Media Player only imports a portion of my music library. I can't remember how I've solved this problem before.

Solution
When Windows Media Player only imports a portion of your music library after reformatting and reinstalling Windows, there are a few things you can try to resolve this issue. Here are some steps you can take: 1. Rebuild the Media Library: - Close Windows Media Player if it's running. - Press Win + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog. - Type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player and hit Enter. - Inside this folder, delete all files with the extension .wmdb. - Restart Windows Media Player. 2. Make sure all the folders you want to include are listed there. 3. Add Music Folders Manually: - If the previous steps don't work, you can add your music folders manually: - Open Windows Media Player. - Go to the "Organize" menu and select "Manage libraries." - Click on "Music" and then "Add..." - Browse to the location of your music files and select the folders you want to include. - Click "Include folder" to add the folder to your library. 4. Check File Formats: - Ensure that the music files you are trying to import are in a format supported by Windows Media Player (such as MP3, WMA, WAV, etc.). - If your music files are in an unsupported format, you may need to convert them to a compatible format. 5. Update Windows Media Player: - Check if there are any updates available for Windows Media Player. Updating to the latest version may resolve compatibility issues. 6. Third-Party Music Managers: - Consider using third-party music management software as an alternative to Windows Media Player if the issue persists. By following these steps, you should be able to address the issue of Windows Media Player not importing your entire music library after reinstalling Windows.
