    Hello,

Nice to be on here - my first post!

After many years of happy and accurate video editing on movie maker 2.1 (XP), I have migrated to Vista and now, when I advance back and forth along the timeline, the preview window jumps around. I.e. The video I am looking at does not correspond to the frame by frame advancement.

I have downloaded movie maker 2.6 and this gives me back accurate frame by frame advancement, but on there the picture is grainy.

    Can't win!

I'd be grateful if anyone has any solutions. I am importing from mini dv tape, as an avi file.

    Kind regards

    Hi,

    Thakns for the message.

I have checked on device manager and my PC thinks they are all up to date.

I have tried installing an updated set of codecs and that hasn't worked either sadly.

If you could give a list of your set up I'll check as sometimes device manager doesn't always find the new stuff..
