    My History
Pre Yesterday many BSOD could not narrow it down. PC guy told me it was my web cam they up dated my drivers. No Luck.. BSOD Was trying to convert DVD files using DVDfab to a format for an Android Tablet BSOD BSOD BSOD. Ok Update all drivers...

Ran program called DriverUpDate found 9 drivers out of date. Updated all these ie. Video Card, Audio Card, Mouse, AMD AHCI Compatible RAID Controller, Both Wire and wireless Network, Hauppauge HVR-2250 TV Tuner, ?? ,?? and ?? .

Today Doing some work on Eclipce (Android program Developing) BSOD But this time I seen hcw89.sys. Linked to the Hauppauge card. Ok I found you here. Removed Card. All well so far. I turned of auto restart for next time. and will run the memory test with out the Tuner installed. Ran Program called BlueScreenView Seen Pre today ntoskrnl.exe is at fault now its that hcw89.sys. and I have had more than 5 BSOD but that is all that is listed.

One Problem I am having now is boot up. its not unless I hold Esc at the start and select the boot device. Did I mess up some how that file that tell the system what to boot with. What is that called? Getting Late Going to sleep. I'm sure it will not fix itself over night.

Hi capple and Welcome to The Forum.

    STOP 0x000000D1: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.
    Usual causes:
    Device driver.

Your latest dump file lists hcw89.sys as the probable cause. As you know this is a Huappage driver.
Old and incompatible drivers can and do cause issues with Windows 7, often giving false error codes. Random stop codes can often indicate hardware issues.

    As a Priority:

F-Secure has been known to be the cause of BSOD's on some Windows 7 systems.
Uninstall F-Secure through Programs and Features then boot to Safe Mode and use the correct F-Secure Cleaup tool until your issue is resolved. Download Microsoft Security Essentials as its replacement. Make sure Windows firewall is enabled!

pcouffin.sys Tue Dec 05 14:39:30 2006 PCouffin is part of VSO software, related to CD/DVD burning software and has known issues with Windows 7. Update or Uninstall your current CD/DVD burning software.

There's a couple of Norton drivers still installed and loading. Use the Norton Removal Tool in Safe Mode.

    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If kernel debugger is available get stack backtrace.

Let us know how it goes. If you get further problems with blue screens, attach your new dump files and details and we'll move on from there.

Uninstalled F-Secure, Ran Unistall tools, Install MSE. Two BSOD already. One is new tcpip.sys and one is ntoskrnl.exe. SF Diagnostics Tool not working will redownload and try some more but hopfuly this zip is enough. Only change should be the Security software. hope these mini dumps work.

Just a quickie. Did you right click the SF Diag tool & select Run as Administrator?

When you say DVDFab, Do you mean the free version as here? I ask because your drivers look fine apart from the pcouffin driver that is still loading in your last dmp file.
I've run that little program since I've had Windows 7 and pcouffin is not on my system.

If you GoTo C:\Windows\System32\drivers and rename the pcouffin.sys driver to pcouffin.bak. This will break the driver and prevent it from loading at the next boot. It will also break any software related to it.

Well that was it but That PC seems to be getting more unstable. I had the file from SF Diag but as I was posting to here ...BSOD "Page_Fault_In _None_Page_Area" ?Hard Ware?. Then I restart. Quickly ..BSOD "Interup_Exception_Not_Handled" More Details "ahcix64.sys. I'm running system restore now to roll back to prior me updating all out of data driver pe-"DriverUpdata". It did have me update the raid drivers and what I thing have something to do with the hardware associated with the usb and sata stuff. I have ".BCK" the pcouffin driver before the first BSOD. Ill Come back and post the SF Diag files from Pre_BSOD's of today, and if I can I will post the files from after the restore as well.

Have to admit Getting real close to breaking down and letting the corporations win and buy a new tower. I know they build this stuff to run normally 2-3 years. Mine is only 1.2 years old I'm on the low side of the average.
