Solution
To play multiple split .TS recorded files from TV as one continuous file without physically merging them, you can use media player software that supports seamless playlist playback. While most media players do not directly support this feature, you can achieve similar functionality by creating a playlist that strings together the individual .TS files. Here's a general guide on how you can achieve this using VLC Media Player, a versatile multimedia player that supports playlist creation and playback:

Using VLC Media Player for Seamless Playback:

  1. Install VLC Player: If you don't have VLC Media Player installed, download and install it on your system.
  2. Create a Playlist:
    • Open VLC Media Player.
    • Go to the "Media" menu and select "Open Multiple Files."
    • Click on the "Add" button to add your .TS files in the correct sequence. You can select multiple files or an entire folder.
    • Once added, click on the "Show more options" checkbox.
    • Enable the "Play another media synchronously" option.
    • Click on the "Play" button to start playback of all added .TS files as one continuous stream.

      Benefits of Using VLC Player:

      • Seamless Playback: VLC allows you to create a playlist and play multiple files one after another without interruptions.
      • Easily Edit Playlist: You can adjust the order of files in the playlist and add or remove files as needed.
      • Title Display: VLC typically displays file names as the playlist progresses, but this can vary based on the file metadata.
By following these steps in VLC Media Player, you can mimic the experience of playing multiple .TS files from TV recordings as a single continuous stream. This method allows you to enjoy the content without the need to physically merge the files while retaining the individual file structure.
