Windows 7 MUSIC CD'S

Looks like someone has already asked about this ,but didn't get an answer.

Ok i will try. i can't get my computer to transfer music from cd's to my music in my computer.

Any ideas.

Could you give a little info about what utility you are using and the process you are attempting?

On my system, I insert the CD and open Windows Media Player. Select the CD and at the top the option to "RIP CD" is active.

Normally Windows will automatically start any CD or DVD, once you insert it. I'm using VLC for DVDs, having some problems with sound, but mainly all is well.

Like Saltgrass states, if you have some other program chosen for the task, there may be an itch?
