Hello,

My frequest BSOD errors (followed by system reboot) point to drivers ks.sys, ntoskrnl.exe, usbaudio.sys and stdriver64.sys. --- to my knowledge.
As for as usbaudio.sys is concerned, I am using rapoo Wifi wireless head phones and so RF USB will be plugged. I cannot remove this.

Here is the summary of the core dumps zipped in attachment:

Solution
John,

These are the changes made:

Logitech driver was installed from the manufacturers of Logitech web cam towards having new LVUSBS64.sys and LV561V64.SYS. The orphan driver RimSerial_AMD64.sys did not get uninstalled when the application associated was uninslatted. So, I manually removed the driver.

Difficult to remove orphan drivers from machine.

With all this in place, since the day the logitech driver was installed i.e., 4 days ago, NO BSOD ERROR IS SEEN. I consider that your solution has worked out. Thank you.

I think MS should build a robust OS which will handle drivers by itself for all devices (any make) intelligently without needing user to know what is happening!. That area is very weak. at the moment.

Thank you...
Download new SoundTap drivers
Un-install the current SoundTap drivers
Install the new SoundTap drivers
Monitor for further BSOD's

If that doesn't fix it, then I'd have to wonder about a hardware problem with your USB equipment.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Thanks a lot for the answers!.

I was not able to get latest drivers for the following: hardlock.sys, aksfridge.sys, HECIx64.sys, aksdf.sys, dvmio.sys. I am still working on these and I will keep you posted of my test results.

Thanks again,
Srinath

The key here is if the BSOD's stop. If you haven't updated those drivers - and the BSOD's stop anyway - then those drivers aren't the problem (and updating them becomes less urgent).

You may not be able to find updated drivers for dvmio.sys (it appears to me that HP doesn't update their drivers unless they see a need to do it). If so, either un-install their program - or just leave it and we'll see what happens with the next BSOD.

As for the others, un-install the Aladdin and Hardlock programs temporarily to see if that helps.

Thank you always,
Srinath

Solution
MS has put that in place - but the manufacturer's of the 3rd party drivers don't have to comply with that specification.
And if MS was to require it, then you wouldn't have the wide choice of software for Windows that you have now.

Good luck to you!
