(Florida, USA) Another Space Shuttle has been scheduled to be launched today according to NASA. The Space Shuttle named STS-132 or Atlantis is scheduled to be launch today, May 14, 2010 at 2:20 PM Eastern Time from Kennedy Space Station. The landing date, however, is scheduled at 8:44 AM Eastern Time on May 26, 2010.

The Space Shutte Atlantis’ mission is to carry out an integrated cargo carrier and a mini research module, both built by Russia to the International Space Station. It will carry 6 crew members in a 12-day travel time to Space.

Currently, NASA is checking the Space Shuttle Atlantis for any possible problems for its scheduled launch today. As we all know, one of the hindrance for a successful Space Shuttle launch is a bad weather condition. Fortunately, the weather department did not find any impending weather condition that can halt the Space Shuttle launch today.

With the recent economic downturn, I hope that Obama continues to support the programs of NASA in its project to study space. Let’s all watch the Space Shuttle launch today live at Florida’s Kennedy Space Station later.
