ok, my comp is self built with these specs
    evga x58 ftw3 moboView attachment New folder.zip
    intel corei7 6core x980 3.33ghz
    24 gigs gskill ripsaw ram
    120 gig ssd
    1tb western digital hdd
with most current norton antivirus provided by comcast internet

my problem is extended out past the blue screen of death though
it also freezes and recovers from nvidia display adapter stopped working
and has recovered, i am attaching minidump file, and i remember a bccode 50
in the error file, dont know what that means but i googled it and said something about
nvidia, but im up to date with that driver. i am getting really pissed off at my comp right
now and help would be much appreciated :)

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)
Invalid system memory was referenced. This cannot be protected by try-except,
it must be protected by a Probe. Typically the address is just plain bad or it
    is pointing at freed memory.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: fffff8a010cd9012, memory referenced.
    Arg2: 0000000000000000, value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation.
Arg3: fffff8800982820a, If non-zero, the instruction address which referenced the bad memory
    address.
    Arg4: 0000000000000000, (reserved)

bugcheck 116, is caused by your graphics card drivers

    so try this
    Stop any overclocking
reset your BIOS to default values
Boot into safe mode- Uninstall the Nvidia drivers
Use driver sweeper to remove Nvidia display driver files Guru3D - Driver Sweeper
    Reboot
    Install NVIDIA Drivers

k good to know that it was caused by norton, although i should tell you it was happening before norton, i had avg free on it and it still did it, i should have also said that the two dmp files on top are from the first installation of win 7 on my comp on big hd and the third is the dmp file from the second installation of windows on my ssd, i looked at the error code on my bsod and it was a bunch of 0's into a 116 and the bsod list said it was the gfx driver or hardware not responding, i dont know how to check these thing like is there a diagnostic i can run on the gfx cards or what? Again thnx for all the help and ill get to removing norton asap.

i was under the impression that the windows installation process like xp would take care of downloading any service pack installation that it needed to, obv in this case i am wrong and i will look for the updated service pack, also the guru driver sweeper website says that it is discontinued and there isnt any download links for it anymore, do you know how to get it if it is discontinued or is there a manual way of looking for specified driver files that i need to look for, and upon deleting these files should i use the internet or my gfx card disc to install the drivers needed?

mmmmmk i installed the latest drivers for windows including the service pack number 1, i cant seem to find this driver sweeper, but on the nvidia site they can do a clean instal removing all of the old nvidia drivers, and i will try to do the newest driver for nvidia, i also should say that i have two gtx 470's that i took one out because i though maybe it was a sli driver problem and would like to reinstall that one because i miss it i didnt notice any performance decrease not using it but it was good having it while it lasted:) also no i didnt overclock anything I believe if I remember correctly the processor is overclocked from the factory but it was a really mild overclock and the gtx 470's are both stock, i havent done anything to them.

also ensure you have the latest bios drivers too :)

    to add lol
there is like service pack 3.5? i think , some fixes within this too,.... what i would try,

remove the drivers again as you did before, intstall the service packs and just leave it for a bit, just use the pc as normal said u installed the latest drivers then the pc died, so just try it without the drivers FOR THE TIME BEING, and then we will look more into why this particular driver is cauing u grief

sorry for not relying to the thread i started lol, i just put back in my old 8800gts and everything including videos and videogames, and word pads are loading just fine without bsod, last night i was like, ok we will just load up the gtx470, a single one and see what happens, loaded up the driver went to load up starcraft2, and boom the same 0000000000116 bsod error, so needless to say the old gfx card is back in its place, and i am going to load up the service packs for windows, and see what happens after i put in the new gfx cards again, will update when i have info. Again thnx for all the help related to this thread.
