Introduction​

Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel can now explore the latest updates with Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25941. Here's a glimpse into the notable changes and enhancements in this release:

Changes and Improvements​


Graphics Enhancements:
  • Advanced display settings have been updated via Settings > System > Display > Advanced display. Users can now toggle on dynamic refresh rate, allowing Windows to adjust the refresh rate dynamically to save power. Learn more here.
  • Added notifications for limitations preventing high refresh rates on certain display resolutions due to cable or display constraints.

Cast Options:
  • Building upon previous Cast improvements introduced in Build 25926, the Cast flyout in Quick Settings has been enhanced to offer additional support for troubleshooting display discovery issues and connection fixes.

Settings Update:
  • The Power & Battery page in Settings no longer features the graph at the top. Instead, users can find battery usage details further down the page. The layout no longer segregates settings into distinct "Power" and "Battery" sections.

Bug Fixes:
  • Resolved issues affecting transparency and touch functionality in File Explorer context menus and command bar dropdowns.
  • Fixed issues related to File Explorer launch reliability, Japanese and Chinese IME functionality, and detailed battery usage crashes in Settings.
  • The Color Filters tuning options now display labels for improved usability.
