Audio was working fine in XP, Installed 7 & shows nothing now.
Won't let me install drivers from HP page, have tried several from realtek page & no go.
Can anyone help?

Probably not actually putting them in the \system32\driver folder... it left my realtek sound drivers in the repository folder and I had to manually copy them

You may try.... run device manager.. go to the sound drivers.. and select UPDATE and tell it to look in \windows and sub folders

It will go through all your windows folders and maybe find and install the newer drivers if they are there and just left laying around in the wrong location.

Thanks for the assist & thought I would post my solution.
Had to change the onboard audio setting in bios from auto to enable & then win7 found everything & updated
the realtek driver/software.
