Windows 7 No Internet

New HP G60-230US laptop. Installed Windows 7 on it's own partition. Clean install. Vista is primary OS. Both wireless and hard wire work in Vista. Win 7 will detect wireless networks but Internet Explorer will not connect. Same with hard wire. No antivirus installed. Installed NIC drivers from HP in Vista compatibility mode and was successfull. Still no resolve.

Anyone have suggestions/thoughts? (Buddie at work has same issue on his desktop)
