The Windows X media tool has been posted and I just want to clear up one issue... if you download X as an iso then burn it to usb and install it over a windows machine (7 in my test) that already has the gwx then if does NOT ask for a key during that upgrade process.

I used the tool to download wX as an iso then burned it to usb with Rufus and installed in on my old W7 machine from the setup icon within windows... I can only assume the warning about needing a key is for installing onto a blank hdd but thats not something I have tested yet.

I just started the download from msdn and got myself a key too although if it doesn't ask for one then I'll use there's... Weird upgrade process indeed.

Well the last of my systems just upgraded to Windows X and I’m off to bed now guys… fyi just when you think Microsoft has stopped being twits and it's safe to do unattended installs again.

Good thing they got me to press "ok" or I could have gone to bed an hour ago without knowing not to do something to stop the install?

Goodnight Graham sleep tight mate..
