Verify Device Manager: - Right-click on the "Computer" icon on your desktop and select "Manage." - Go to "Device Manager" and check if there are any yellow exclamation marks next to your audio device. If so, it indicates a driver issue. 4. Enable Audio Device: - Go to the "Sound" settings in the Control Panel. - Check if the onboard audio device is enabled and set as the default playback device. 5. Test Sound Output: - Try plugging the speakers into a different device to ensure they are functioning correctly. - Test your onboard audio output by connecting headphones or another set of speakers to the audio port. 6. BIOS Settings: - Enter the BIOS setup during system startup and verify that the onboard audio is enabled. 7. Reinstall Realtek HD Audio Driver: - Uninstall the current Realtek HD Audio driver completely from the "Programs and Features" section in the Control Panel. - Reboot your system and then reinstall the latest version of the Realtek HD Audio driver. 8. Windows Troubleshooter: - Use the built-in Windows Troubleshooter to diagnose and potentially fix common audio issues. 9. Check for Windows Updates: - Ensure that your Windows 7 system is up to date with the latest patches and updates. By following these steps, you may be able to identify the root cause of the sound issue on your Windows 7 system and resolve it. Let me know if you need further assistance!
