Windows 7 No sound at all

I've just installed windows 7 ultimate 32 bit after I got new ram because the old ram broke. Everything is fine except I have no sound. I've installed all the sound drivers that are compatible with windows7, I've let windows detect and download the drivers and sound still won't work. When I open the volume on the task bar the green bar moves up and down when sound is playing but nothing will come out my speakers. I can't get any sound from my headphones either.

I'm using onboard sound.

Can someone please help, I've searched everywhere for a solution and tried everything but it still wont work
