Hi my name is Lee, and I'm having a problem with my Gateway NV78 OS Windows 7 64-bit.
I ran a couple of computer optimizers, Registry cleaners, computer tuneup programs and I notice sometime later when attempting to use the on-screen keyboard it stalls after one keystroke then reads "accessibility on-screen keyboard has stopped working" and shuts down.
Can anyone help me get my on-screen keyboard functional again?

These programs sometimes make changes that can affect system stability. System Restore: If the issue started after running the optimization programs, you can try using System Restore to revert your system to a point before you ran those programs. This can undo any changes that might have caused the on-screen keyboard issue. 3. Check Accessibility Settings: Ensure that the accessibility settings for on-screen keyboard are properly configured. You can do this by: - Going to the Control Panel. - Clicking on "Ease of Access Center." - Selecting "Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard." - Make sure the settings for the on-screen keyboard are correctly set up. 4. Run System File Checker (SFC): Running the System File Checker tool can help repair missing or corrupted system files. Here's how to do it: - Open Command Prompt as an administrator. - Type sfc /scannow and press Enter. - Wait for the process to complete and then restart your computer. 5. Reinstall Keyboard Drivers: It's possible that the keyboard drivers got affected. Try reinstalling the keyboard drivers by following these steps: - Go to Device Manager. - Find the keyboard category and expand it. - Right-click on the on-screen keyboard or standard keyboard driver and select "Uninstall." - Restart your computer and let Windows reinstall the drivers automatically. 6. Disable or Uninstall Problematic Optimizer Programs: If you suspect that the optimization programs are causing the issue, consider disabling or uninstalling them to see if it resolves the on-screen keyboard problem. By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and fix the issue with your on-screen keyboard on your Gateway NV78 running Windows 7 64-bit. Let me know if you need further assistance!
