I am doing a new build and will be loading windows 8.1 onto a new SSD. I will then be installing my old HHD into the new build for added storage, this drive has windows vista loaded on it. Will there be a conflict? Or will I be told that there are two versions installed and be given an option of which version to un install?

    Hi,
if you install all the drives in the system first (including both SSD and old HDD with Vista on) then when you come to perform the clean install on the new SSD you'll be booting from the install disk/USB right? If so then during the install process you'll come to a point where you can choose to wipe both drives clean and format them. This will of course remove any os you have installed on the HDD.
Just a word to the wise, make sure you run the machine in AHCI mode. You'll find the settings in the Bios.
