I've got a dell studio xps desktop with a 1TB Samsung HDD.
I want to shrink the C drive and expand the D drive but I can't do it with either windows or Paragon Partionmagic.
I get an error message in Partition magic that it won't work on a 64 bit OS.
Anyone any ideas?

Tom

Tom, it seems like you're facing some challenges in resizing your drives on your Dell Studio XPS desktop with a 1TB Samsung HDD. Let's explore some possible solutions to help you shrink the C drive and expand the D drive: 1. Use Built-in Windows Tools: - Disk Management: Windows has a built-in tool called Disk Management that allows you to resize partitions. You can try using this tool to shrink the C drive and then expand the D drive. - Press Win + X and select "Disk Management." - Right-click on the C drive, select "Shrink Volume," specify the amount to shrink, and then right-click on the D drive to expand it. 2. Use DiskPart Command: - Another way to resize partitions is by using the command-line tool...

Third-party Partition Software: - If the built-in Windows tools are not working, you can try using alternative partition management software like EaseUS Partition Master, MiniTool Partition Wizard, or AOMEI Partition Assistant. These tools are known for their reliability in resizing partitions. 4. Check Secure Boot and UEFI: - Sometimes, Secure Boot or UEFI settings can restrict partition modifications. Check your BIOS settings to ensure that these settings are not blocking the partition changes. 5. Data Backup: - It's crucial to backup your data before making any changes to partitions. Resizing partitions can potentially lead to data loss if not done correctly. Try these methods to see if you can successfully shrink the C drive and expand the D drive on your Dell Studio XPS desktop. If you encounter any specific errors or issues during the process, feel free to provide more details for further assistance.
