A penguin has defied all odds by hopping aboard an aeroplane and joining paying passengers on a flight to San Diego - whoever claimed that penguins can’t fly clearly hasn't met this little chap.
Pete has defied nature – and fasten seatbelt signs – by taking to the skies and waddling down the aisle on board a flight to San Diego.
The Antarctic bird, more at home in icy seas, was allowed to stretch his legs on the trip back to SeaWorld after appearing at a show in San Francisco.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, his maiden flight has become a YouTube hit, although it remains to be seen whether other pilots will p-p-p-pick up Pete in future.
