Windows Vista Photo problems

Ok here we go. On my friends computer that is running vista for some reason all of the photo's he has stored on his computer are all showing the same generic photo until u click on one of them. Whats up with that. I also noticed it is doing that on my win 7 also. It doesnt bother me but it does him because those photo's are his business. How do you get it to show the photo's the way it is supposed to show them. Thanks in advance.

Hmm.....take a look at the screenshot. You'll see where I've arrows pointing to a default picture image (if you mean a different image then please post and let me know or even post a screenshot). The other arrow points where you click to change this view..

What i meant was all the photo's are the same untill u click on it and then you can see what it actually is. Why dont the photo's show what they really are instead of that water background.
