A lot of these TV apps don't yet work on Windows 7 (inc Hauppage stuff as well).
However surprisingly Windows Media Center (not the Windows media player WMP) often will work when even the Hardware Manufactuer's own application fails.
Nice one Microsoft.
But not 100% praise -- if you have a TV card which also has composite input - useful for Video cameras, Video senders etc etc. then you need the stupid WMC remote -- it's really frustrating as you can actually see the picture on a little screen when setting up your TV card -- but you can't complete setup until you have the REmote. (Why Microsoft - especially on a Laptop do you have to have the stinking remote - I want LESS extra bits to carry around with a laptop).
The WMC also works with Pinnacle Express card as well.
