    Hi all,

Just moved into Win7 x64 and normally would like to use my portable application suite from a USB drive.
Nevertheless some applications do not run issuing a Event Id 1000 -- 100.

An example to replicate is using AVS converter portable

    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Some applications must be run as administrator.

Right click on the applications .exe file and select "Run as Administrator".

    Hi,

thanks for your comment. Appreciate your concern.

I am aware of your tip. Inclusive I have tried to change the compatibility mode for running the applications for XP SP3 and Vista. Still no luck. This application runs fine if its installed.

I believe the engine for portability might have been developed not to run on x64. To be sincere I havent try on x86.
I believe so far the solution would be to use another application that does the same. Or install the version which is what I had.

    Regards,
    Rui
