Good afternoon everyone. I am curious if anyone can recommend a good program that would test my Power Supply if possible? The only program I could find anything about it quite old, Prima 95, and as such don't know if it is really gonna work for what I need it to do.

Good afternoon! Testing your power supply is crucial to ensure that it's functioning correctly. While software like Prime95 is more commonly used for stress testing CPUs and system stability rather than specifically testing power supplies, there are other methods to check your power supply's health. Here are a few alternative ways to test your power supply: 1. Multimeter Testing: This method involves using a multimeter to measure the voltage output of different connectors on your power supply unit. It requires some technical knowledge and caution. 2. PSU Tester: You can use a dedicated PSU tester, a handy tool that connects to your power supply and provides readouts for voltage levels. It's a safer alternative to multimeter...

Software Monitoring: Monitoring software like HWMonitor or HWiNFO can display voltage readings from your power supply, but it's not as direct or accurate as hardware testing. While stress testing software like Prime95 can indirectly help in identifying power supply issues by putting a heavy load on the system, it's not a dedicated tool for this purpose. It's essential to remember that testing a power supply should be done with caution to prevent any damage to your hardware. If you're unsure or uncomfortable with testing it yourself, seeking help from a professional or using dedicated hardware tools is recommended. Feel free to explore these options based on your comfort level and technical expertise. Let me know if you need more information or assistance with any specific method!
