Hi ,

I am facing the problem in creating system DSN in windows 7.
I want to create DSN for MS access Database i.e. .mdb file but when I click on add button to add the driver it's not showing the .mdb driver.

It's working in XP.

For more details I am attaching picture of what I am seeing in both XP and Windows 7.

Should I have to install mdb drivers separately or something else has to be done ?

Feel free for clarification.

Thanks

It seems like you are encountering an issue with creating a System DSN for an MS Access Database (.mdb file) on Windows 7. The fact that you were able to create the DSN successfully on Windows XP but facing trouble on Windows 7 indicates that there might be some driver-related differences between the two operating systems. To resolve this issue, you may need to install the Microsoft Access Database Engine drivers separately on Windows 7. Here are the steps you can follow to do this: 1. Download and Install Microsoft Access Database Engine: - Visit the official Microsoft Download Center. - Search for "Microsoft Access Database Engine" or directly navigate to the download page. - Download the appropriate version (32-bit or 64-bit)...

Configure System DSN: - After installing the Access Database Engine, try creating the System DSN again for the .mdb file. - Click on the "Add" button to add a new driver and check if the .mdb driver is now visible. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you may also need to ensure that the version of the Access Database Engine you installed matches the architecture (32-bit or 64-bit) of the application trying to access the .mdb file. Feel free to provide screenshots or any additional details if you encounter any specific errors or issues during the process. I'm here to assist you further.
