Windows 7 Problem with dell printer

I have an AMD 64 based system, and just installed windows 7, only 1 major problem!
I have a dell 926 aio printer. I keep getting "not installed" message!
These are the steps taken so far.
1) uninstalled the dell driver mgr.
2) uninstalled all dell drivers
3) downloaded and installed both items mentioned.
4) I kept getting spool not working message, went to troubleshoot, and it showed as fixed. Still got nothing.
5) I also have a a "RPC" server message not available.
6) I've read all forum posts on related issues, but none are specific to my problem!
HELP!!!

I have the same problem. I also have upgraded my notebook to windows 7, and my dell printer isn't working now. I also have done the same steps like you, but with out succes. I have the 64-bit version of windows. I aslo dowloaded the driver from dell for windows 7. But after the installation I'm getting alwas a pop-up window, where it say: "the driver for the 926 aio printer is not installed. Please uninstall the driver." I don't know what I should do, any solutions?

Problems with Dell printer solved

I had the same problem with a Dell A920. It did not work with windows 7.
I tried different drivers, but still without succes.

At least I tried the following:
-choose add a Printer.
-then select a printer. (if it is not listed, choose update. In windows 7 you can update the list).
-choose the Dell printer.
-Install
Problem solved!

I hope this will solve other problems.

I have a Dell all in one printer (926 AIO) on my win7 x64. Try the drivers from Dell for your printer. It worked for me.

Before you download your new drivers, be sure to unistall the old drivers.
