Windows 7 problem with W7 64b

Few days ago installed W7 64b on my Vista Home Prem 32b laptop. Most programs seem to work ok, EXCEPT CorelDraw X4 (it worked well in Vista). MS site indicates compatibility using CorelDraw X4 in W7-64, & Corel.com has no postings about incompatibility. In W7 Corel takes forever to open the program, then forever to open & save files. I installed all svc packs & hot fixes issued by Corel. Also uninstalled/reinstalled CorelDraw. No improvement. Wondering if I should install W7 32b instead; if so, how do I do that? Do I have to uninstall 64b first? Is there a specific procedure?

If there is something about Win 7 causing problems, you may have needed to install it using compatibility mode as well. Running as admin might help. If it was useable by XP, you may even need to go back to that.
