Windows 7 Problem with windows 7

I've got an Asus G60 Laptop with an Atheros Ethernet adapter.

Seemingly randomly it will stop working and when plugged into the same router that I'm currently connected flawlessly to through wifi display either:

Identifying - No Network Access
OR
Unknown Network - No Network Access

and switch back and forth between those two endlessly.

-I've tried updating the driver
-I've tried rolling back the driver
-I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the driver
-I've tried disabling and enabling the driver
-I've tried setting it so that it can't be powered off for power saving
-I've restarted during each of these attempts.

This is really irritating to say the least and seems like a pretty big flaw considering the hundreds of posts that turn up when googling it, spanning months on end.

Try this:
Go into the driver properties, clicked Advanced / Task Offload, and turn this feature off.

Other things to try:

  • Open Set Program Access and Computer Defaults by clicking the Start button Link Removed due to 404 Error, clicking Default Programs, and then clicking Set program access and computer defaults. Link Removed due to 404 Error If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  • Choose Microsoft Windows, and then click OK.
Also, In the advanced sharing settings you need to enable media sharing to your LAN.

Also, try upgrading your router firmware.
