Windows 7 problems connecting to a network

Hello,

I just recently upgraded by laptop from windows vista to widows 7 and I am unable to connect to my home
wireless network. I am able to connect to this network from all the other computers in my house but just not on from laptop. I entered the security key and everything but I am still not able to connect. Each time I try to connect to this network I get a message saying: windows was unable to connect to myNetworkName. Any suggestions?

Did you perform an upgrade from Vista, or did you do a "Custom (clean) install"?

The Network sharing center contains a lot of information and some trouble shooters. You may a setting set wrong, or a firewall may be blocking your access.

I did a custom (clean) install. Furthermore, I also dowloaded the necessary updated drivers (from another computer) and installed it on my laptop but it still doesn't work.
