Microsoft has updated the free Process Monitor system monitoring utility to Version 2.94. This version adds names for additional file system control codes, error values, and adds a copy-to-clipboard entry to the item context-menu.

Process Explorer has now reached version 14.01.

Ever wondered which program has a particular file or directory open? Now you can find out. Process Explorer shows you information about which handles and DLLs processes have opened or loaded.
The Process Explorer display consists of two sub-windows. The top window always shows a list of the currently active processes, including the names of their owning accounts, whereas the information displayed in the bottom window depends on the mode that Process Explorer is in: if it is in handle mode you'll see the handles that the process selected in the top window has opened; if Process Explorer is in DLL mode you'll see the DLLs and memory-mapped files that the process has loaded. Process Explorer also has a powerful search capability that will quickly show you which processes have particular handles opened or DLLs loaded.
The unique capabilities of Process Explorer make it useful for tracking down DLL-version problems or handle leaks, and provide insight into the way Windows and applications work.

Process Explorer v14.1
The latest version, more than three years in the making, introduces several new features. You can now drill down into the multiple svchost processes and see what each one is controlling via mouse-over tooltip, learn which Internet Explorer 8 process controls which tab, and a new .NET assembly information tab under Properties for assistance in .NET troubleshooting.

Having some difficulty finding the release notes regarding this release so I'm not sure sure what fixes or new features are included in this release.

This is a major update which reduces the utility's memory usage, improves the presentation of graphs, adds GPU utilization and memory monitoring under Windows Vista and 7, as well as the ability to restart services.

Microsoft has released Version 15.2 of the free Process Explorer utility, which is a more detailed version of Task Manager. This major update merges Autoruns functionality into the utility, adds .NET stack walking support, adds a process timeline column, and uses the Windows 8 private ETW logger.

Haven't used this in quite a while and I am impressed by the improvements, which also makes it even more user friendly, especially for guys like me.
