Windows 7 Program files Permissions

Quick question...what should the permissions be for the Program Files Directory?? Mine is set to Read only.

That would be correct. But it should also say that it only applies to files in the folder?

Yes it does, and thank you. I was trying to trace why installs of 3rd party apps fail, and thought this might be the cause.Sigh, more research time.
