When I run Quake II on Default OpenGL it says "Quake II has stopped responding." Could someone please help me? I don't like software mode. Tnx

Solution
It seems like you're encountering an issue running Quake II on OpenGL mode. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this problem: 1. Update Graphics Drivers: - Ensure that your graphics card drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause compatibility issues with OpenGL. 2. Compatibility Mode: - Try running Quake II in compatibility mode. Right-click on the game's shortcut or executable, go to Properties, and then the Compatibility tab. Try running it in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows. 3. Run as Administrator: - Right-click on the game's executable and select "Run as Administrator." Sometimes, running programs with elevated privileges can resolve issues. 4. Disable...

Disable Full-Screen Optimization: - Go to the game's executable or shortcut, right-click, go to Properties, and under the Compatibility tab, check "Disable full-screen optimizations." 5. Verify Game Files: - If you're using a platform like Steam, verify the integrity of the game files to make sure nothing is corrupted. 6. Reinstall the Game: - If none of the above steps work, consider reinstalling Quake II. This can sometimes fix underlying issues with the game files. 7. Check for Software Conflicts: - Ensure that there are no software conflicts with Quake II. Sometimes, background programs can interfere with game performance. 8. System Requirements: - Make sure your system meets the minimum requirements for running Quake II with OpenGL to rule out hardware limitations. Try these suggestions and see if they help resolve the issue with Quake II crashing on Default OpenGL mode. Let me know if you need further assistance after trying these steps!
