Recently revamped my system with no mobo/ram/cpu and a clean windows 7 install, but now I'm experiencing random BSODS 0 to 10 or so times per day.

Ran Memtest86+ for 10 passes with 0 errors.

Solution
Just passing through and wondering if either memtest or driver verifier was run? These are memory corruption so we need to test the memory stock in the windows environment and run driver verifier to find which driver is corrupting it.

Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program.

Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

Driver verifier

I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if...
Hi,

From looking at your cpu-z pics, you memory at 1600 wants timings of 9-9-9-25 and a command rate or 2, if you go into your bios and set it to 2, see how your system behaves and post back your results.

Changed the DRAM Command Rate to 2 in bios, now displays as command rate T2 in CPU-Z

Just got another BSOD though, this time a 7E

Here are the minidump files:

Just had another BSOD, a 109 again.

Here is the minidump!

STOP 0x0000007E: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
Usual causes:
Insufficient disk space, Device driver, Video card, BIOS, Breakpoint with no debugger attached, Hardware incompatibility, Faulty system service, Memory, 3rd party remote control.

Latest:
STOP 0x00000109: CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION
Usual causes:
Device driver, Breakpoint set with no debugger attached, Hardware (Memory in particular)

Your latest dump file lists Memory_Corruption as the probable cause which usually indicates out of date Drivers, Bad Memory or incorrectly configured Memory Timings.
Old and incompatible drivers can and do cause issues with Windows 7, often giving false error codes.

As a Priority:

dadder.sys Thu Aug 02 10:33:03 2007 Razer DeathAdder Mouse driver.

You are getting a lot of unloaded modules related to USB's. Do you have an Atheros Bluetooth device (also mentioned)?

CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION (109)
This bugcheck is generated when the kernel detects that critical kernel code or
data have been corrupted. There are generally three causes for a corruption:
1) A driver has inadvertently or deliberately modified critical kernel code
 or data. See http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/driver/kernel/64bitPatching.mspx
2) A developer attempted to set a normal kernel breakpoint using a kernel
debugger that was not attached when the system was booted. Normal breakpoints,
"bp", can only be set if the debugger is attached at boot time. Hardware
breakpoints, "ba", can be set at any time.
3) A hardware corruption occurred, e.g. failing RAM holding kernel code or data.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi,

In your bios could you raise your mem voltage to 1.60V or as close to that as possible.

The manuafacturer website lists the standard test voltage of this ram as 1.5V, may I ask why raising it 1.6V might help?

You are getting a lot of unloaded modules related to USB's. Do you have an Atheros Bluetooth device (also mentioned)?

The ASUS p8z68 Pro comes with onboard bluetooth, but I do not use it. Im not sure where to find the drivers for the BT, might it be easier to just disable/uninstall it all together? Ill see if I can do that.

Also thanks for the help! Wiped the old dadder drivers and installed the most recent ones from the Razer website, We'll see if that solves it.

The raising of Vdimm to 1.6V could help stabilize the memory\system. It's entirely up to you though. Was helping a member earlier in the week with a very similar system to yours. Same cpu and after fighting with it for hours it turned out a small bump is vdimm solved his problem.

You could also disable BT in the bios :)

Just had another 109 BSOD, went into the BIOS to mess with the ram voltage and discovered it had been set as 1.67V by the Asus auto-overclock BIOS app, so I changed it to 1.50V. I think everything was overclocked in this way, im going to try and find the default settings for all the hardware and see if that is stable.

Here is the latest minidump file

I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Win7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.

Solution
Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

It can also be caused by misconfigured memory timings. Ken I hope you don't mind me dropping that in too
