My computer constantly crashes or freezes, espeically during movies. I suspect its my video card but i'm not sure. Is there any way of verifying? I have also attached the mini dump file.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

I ran your error through "WhoCrashed" and it gave me the following details.

On Wed 1/26/2011 3:32:13 PM GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\012611-15241-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: win32k.sys (win32k+0x1BCCA2)
Bugcheck code: 0x1000008E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFFFFF9704CCA2, 0xFFFFFFFFA704FC10, 0x0)
Error: KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M

file path: C:\Windows\system32\win32k.sys
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System

company: Microsoft Corporation
description: Multi-User Win32 Driver
Bug check description: This indicates that a kernel-mode program generated an exception which the error handler did not catch.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in a standard Microsoft module. Your system configuration may be incorrect. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver on your system which cannot be identified at this time.

I looked up on google for the win32k.sys and found the following links.

and

Hope this helps...

KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000008e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
happening.
Arguments:
Arg1: c0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: 9704cca2, The address that the exception occurred at
Arg3: a704fc10, Trap Frame
Arg4: 00000000
