hi all,

sorted out my guest account logon prob.
now when any guest logs on, no network icon appears in system tray/notification area?
the guest can access the net and browse.
would be very grateful for any ideas/solutions.
the icon does not even appear in the customize icons display window.

Regards

Guest account has very limited capability. The icon is not there so they cannot make changes to the network etc.
Create a standard user account for others. Yours is the administrative account

You can create a standard account and limit access through parental controls.

Set up Parental Controls.

FYI Guest account is not available on Windows 7 starter edition, have a look at the link below.
Turn the guest account on or off

Hi ZVIT,

Thanks for your reply. I suspected it was something along those lines, with "Guest" account,as there was no prob's for the "Standard" accounts.
