Hello Windows Insiders, today we’re releasing Windows 11 Build 22000.2001 (KB5026436) to Insiders in the Release Preview Channel on Windows 11 (original release).
### This Update Includes the Following Improvements:
- Searchindexer.exe: This update addresses an issue where searchindexer.exe stops working after you sign out, particularly following an upgrade to Windows 11 Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Narrator: The update fixes a problem where Narrator does not correctly announce text attributes for words such as "misspelled," "deletion change," and "comment."
- Server Message Block (SMB): The update resolves an issue that prevents access to SMB shared folders, displaying errors like "Not enough memory resources" or "Insufficient system resources."
- Password Expiration Notices: The update addresses an issue causing unexpected password expiration notices when using "Smart Card is Required for Interactive Logon" with "Enable rolling of expiring NTLM secrets."
- Local Security Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS): Fixes an issue where LSASS stops working when using Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Scheduled Tasks: Resolves an issue affecting scheduled tasks that fail when they use stored local user account credentials, with error message "2147943726: ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE (The username or password is incorrect)" occurring when Credential Guard is enabled.
- Storage Spaces Direct (S2D): Addresses an issue that might prevent the S2D cluster from coming online after a periodic password rollover (error code 1326).
- Tab Settings for IE Mode Sites: Resolves access issues to tab settings for IE mode sites.
- Windows PowerShell: Fixes an issue where dot sourcing fails for files containing class definitions.
- Event Viewer: Addresses an issue limiting the number of event sources accessible to non-admin users in Event Viewer.
- Applications Using WM_CLOSE: Fixes an issue causing applications that perform certain actions in a callback (e.g., closing a window) to stop working.
- Support Phone Number for Microsoft India: Updates the support phone number for Windows activation in Microsoft India.
- Printer Installation: Fixes an issue where certain printers fail to install if they connect to Wi-Fi automatically.
- IMSI Ranges: Updates the International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) ranges for certain mobile providers.
- Windows Firewall: Fixes an issue where the firewall drops all connections to the IP address of a captive portal when the "Captive Portal Addresses" option is chosen.
- Multi-function Label Printer: Addresses an issue affecting the installation of certain multi-function label printers.
- Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) Devices: Fixes an issue where Windows Firewall cannot apply the correct domain and profile to Azure AD-joined devices.
- Audio Playback: Addresses an issue causing audio playback failures on devices with certain processors.
- User Experience (UX) for Search Box on Taskbar: Improves the UX and interactions for the search box on the taskbar.
- FSCTL Set Operation and Reparse Points: Fixes an issue where accessing a large reparse point with NTFS after a canceled FSCTL Set operation causes a stop error.
