Windows 7 Remote desktop connection

I have a desktop and a laptop at home both running 7 Pro that I setup RDP on so I can log into them from work. The laptop got the standard port 3389 and the desktop I had to assign another port. The laptop connection works just fine from my Android phone and from my work computer, but I can't seem to log into my desktop from my work computer, even though it works just fine using my HTC hero.

Any ideas?

Hello and welcome to the forums.
If as you say, everything is working fine in all respects for both connections except for your connection through your work computer to your desktop at home, then I would suspect that perhaps your router or other firewall product that you may be using at work needs to be provisioned to allow TCP (inbound and outbound) on whatever the alternative port you chose for your other RDP connection to your desktop.
