Windows 7 Renaming computer

Hiya- I have inherited a netbook from a deceased relative. FINALLY got the password. Running Win7. My relative's name is the only user name and owners name on the computer. I would like to use it without being constantly reminded of him. Is it possible to change the main name without a total re install? Most of the other software is also in his user file, and I would like to access that without a drama too.

Any valid ideas?

Change Computer Name:
Hit Windows key, in Search, type System
To the right of Computer Name hit Change Settings

Change User Name:
Hit Windows key, in Search, type User
> User Accounts > Change Your Account Name
