Windows 7 Restore Windows 7 Desktop Icons and On-Screen Volume Meter

Ok when i first got my laptop and it had windows 7 on it i had these really cool icons on the top of my desktop that had My pictures and stuff it almost looked like the kind of icons the MAC computers have

but i restored my computers and i now its totally different
does anyone know the theme i can download to get it to look like that again

it also used to show when i turned up the volume up and down ony my keyboard it showed it on the screen as well as when i did the CAPS LOCK button and now it dosent show it at all how do i get that back
