Showing "Rootkit driver not installed" error and PC not starting!
Did you install a malware scanner? Rootkit is a type of driver that kicks in before windows starts and is normally used to scan the system.
don't know because its actually not my PC its my relatives PC!
Rootkit is a bad thing, something to get rid of. Not easy to recognize if it's the "Rootkit driver" not installed or, if it's the "Anti Rootkit driver not installed". Unfortunately, XP is dead and gone, its support ended in April this year. XP is a security hazard. You need to go up to at least Windows 7. http://www.tomshardware.com/news/support-windows-7-windows-vista-updates-tech-support,14761.html http://windowsforum.com/threads/xp-support-ends-today.187031/
