I read somewhere that W7 would be good on a netbook, so I installed it on my Acer Aspire One (1Gb ram and 16Gb SD storage. It installed fine via my external optical drive. The problem I have though is, it runs so slow. Was I wrongly informed, or is there something I need to do? Any advice welcome. I also have it on my desktop and so far I'm liking it a lot.

Loathe, I followed this and it went just fine. However, once thw installation was complete, it was just the same as the first time I did it using an external optical drive. Everything seems to work okay, just extremely slowly. It's almost like I installed W7 on an old 286, so I'm wondering if there's some adjustment I need to make post installation?
