Windows 7 Saving power

So i don't exactly know if this is the right forum to post this but does disabling a device actually save energy? For example, i have two CD-ROM players, if i disable one of them do i actually have any advantege in doing so?

I wouldn't call it an advantage, because of small amount it would save, but yes, anything you disable, saves some amount. As for rarely used CD-ROM, it wouldn't be anything much, because it's idle most of time, and does any action only when you turn on your PC, as much as I know.

Greetings to community, haven't posted anything for hella long time ;D
